  If you are entering the workforce for the first time, there are things you can do right now to prepare. Tampa Bay WorkForce Alliance helps to prepare youth to fill the talent pipeline needed in the Tampa Bay area through:
 mentoring and advocacy services to in- and out-of school youth, ages 14-21, providing high school students the opportunity to parallel work readiness skills and basic education skills.
 under-employed 21 year olds have opportunities to engage in activities to better prepare for work, including targeted training that includes academic and career assessment, computer skills improvement and work readiness seminars.
 Job Corps - Residential training and education for economically challenged young people 16-24.
 Full or partial scholarships through a competitive application process to students who meet income and other criteria.
